Lineage Server Move
The following was just posted to the Lineage website:

Important information regarding the US Lineage service.

With the scheduled server maintenance window on Wednesday, March 24th, we will be completing our relocation of the US Lineage game servers to a new hosting location in Los Angeles, California within an Equinix co-location facility. In the interest of providing the best possible service solution for our customers, we have improved our access to a more diversified network in order to improve the connectivity and reliability for our customers to the Lineage service.

The Ken Rauhel and Lands of Aden servers have been moved to this new location with their return to service on March 23rd. The Depardieu and Test servers will be moved with today’s maintenance window; the Test Server will also be wiped during this process to aid its transition to the new server hardware. Due to the extensive hardware upgrades and transition tasks related to this move, today’s maintenance period may extend beyond the standard two-hour window.

Please note: The US Lineage servers will have new IP addresses following this move. As the new IP addresses will be patched to the Lineage game clients once the servers are available, it is important that all customers access Lineage using the Lineage desktop shortcut with /us following the program link. If you are using the desktop shortcut from a default installation of Lineage and have not modified the shortcut or your client, your client should patch correctly. Additionally, the Lineage Test Server IP will change to 63.110.21.121; all Test Server customers should adjust their test clients accordingly. The Test Server is expected to remain unavailable until early afternoon on March 24th

If you should experience any issues resulting from this server relocation, please contact our Support Team for further assistance via our Support Tool using the “Ask a Question” tab. We appreciate your patience in this matter and apologize for any inconvenience resulting from this server relocation; we will continue to work to minimize any further possible service disruptions.

The Aden(a) Draw
On Sunday the Aden(a) Draw will be held in Giran. Aden(a) Tickets will be sold during the week and there will be two types of tickets, The 1000 adena ticket will give you a chance to win in the small pool and the 10000 adena ticket will give you a chance to win the big pool, how big it will be will be decided from the amount of tickets being sold. If 26 tickets will be sold then the winning pool will be 260000 adenas. The winner gets 50% of the sum, the second one 25%, the third 15% and the fourth 10%. The same rules apply to the small draw. Every single coin will go to the two pools.

So how to make sure to get some tickets ? Either send a mail to maelmoor@dailylineage.com to book tickets, then I will contact you, remember to write your character name and which server you play on (note: this draw is open for those who play on Dep, Ken and LoA), or contact one of the following characters in-game: Maelmoor (Dep and LoA) and Bhelliom (Ken). You can also write your interest in the thread I started on the official boards.

There won't be any limit of how many tickets can be sold, the more that will be sold, the higher the winning pool will be. The pools are different from each server, so there will be totally six draws, two on each server. Good Luck !

Hoax virus
This was posted on Lineage.com

"We have received reports of hoax e-mails being distributed with a “spoofed” return e-mail address of noreply@lineage.com which claim that anti-virus software installed at Lineage.com has detected virus content from a user’s specific e-mail account and offers a free “anti-virus tool” in the form of an attachment to remedy the infected computer. These e-mail messages are not from NCsoft or NCinteractive, but rather appear to be the result of the W32.Beagle.J@mm worm; you can find more information on this latest e-mail virus here.

Please treat any e-mail attachments you may receive with caution, as a number of computer viruses and Trojan programs are transmitted via this method. As a general practice, NCsoft and NCinteractive do not send out e-mail attachments. If you receive any suspicious e-mail communications purporting to be from NCsoft or NCinteractive, please forward that e-mail to us via our Support Tool rather than answering the e-mail directly. If the e-mail in question is not from NCsoft or NCinteractive, we will inform you as such.

Additional details on how to further ensure the security of your Lineage account can be found in our Account Security FAQ."
